It's the most wonderful time of the year. No, not Christmas, although for fashionista's, fashion journalists and fashion lovers it may as well be!
Last night the fashion, hollywood, and art elite gathered in Manhattan for the 2011 Met Gala, hosted annually by Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour. Salma Hayek and her husband Francois-Henri Pinault helped with the unveiling of the exhibit, which celebrates the life and work of Alexander McQueen.

I loved Rihanna's ensemble but not so much that braid. What the ef was up with that? Salma looks fabulous.
And is that Madonna?!?!?! I think this is the first time I see her looking great in YEARS. Not tacky at all. Two thumbs up.
Blake Lively in Chanel was the showstopper! I love big risk-takers, and this one paid off.
I also am amazed at how Claire Danes is always glowing, but then again, if I were married to Hugh Dancy I'd be glowing like that too.

My favorite had to be Rosie H-W in Burberry this time, but I also like Gisele's and Leighton's look. To be fair, Dianna Agron's dress was solid as well.
